About Stay Safe Guide
Hi, I'm Iulian. I started this site after I was scammed myself. It was a horrible few days, and the thing that stuck with me was how little plain, trustworthy help there was for someone in a panic who is not technical.
So I went and learned how online security actually works. I hold CompTIA Security+ and Microsoft's SC-900 certification, I'm studying toward Microsoft's SC-200, and I run a small home lab where I test the tools and settings I write about here. I'm honest about where I am: I'm earlier in my security career than the big review sites, and I think that is exactly why I can explain things the way I wish someone had explained them to me.
What this site promises you
- Plain English. No jargon, no showing off. If a term matters, I explain it once and move on.
- Honest recommendations. I only point you to tools I would use or set up for my own family, and I tell you when a free option is good enough.
- Clear about money. Some links earn me a small commission if you buy through them. That never changes which products I recommend, and it never costs you more. You can read the full affiliate disclosure.
- Accuracy. I check my facts, date my guides, and update them when things change. Where something is my opinion, I say so.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants to feel safer online without becoming an expert: parents, older relatives, small-business owners, and people who have just had a scare and want to fix it quickly.
